Back to basics

Back in the day (like 15 years ago maybe) my step-father gave me a 1979 Minolta 35 MM camera. I thought it was the coolest thing ever, and took lots of pictures with it. After neglecting my little hobby I decided to pick it up again. This old camera, even older now, has been patiently waiting for me to give it some attention for some time now. When I picked it up out of the rusted metal lunchbox it has been resting in, I noticed it still had a roll of film inside. I thought, "What in the world could be on this film??"
My Mother - with what she called a "Dorothy Hammel (sp?) Haircut"
My good friend Sarah - looking stylish in her fab "1990-ish" attire
And my beautiful grandmother - who hasn't changed a bit!

Sometimes the photos turn out grainy, and it's hard to capture the light. It's fun to play around with, though. It is possible to get a good picture with this camera. I have been playing with it this week and caught one of Lucy girl lounging.

She is pretty in the pink light, don't you think?

Until next time.. : )

So glad you took this hobby back up again!
Not sure about my picture on it. Should I go back to the Dorothy cut?
Love you bunches and bunches!
Hugs,
Mom

Hi Keli - I'm one of your mom's goofy blog buddies that met up in Jefferson! We had such a wonderful time and your mom is so sweet! It was so neat to get to know someone online and then to meet up in person just cemented the friendship! I hope you get to do that sometime, and also hope that we can all get together in the future. I have a daughter, and so do the two Debbies. I guess you've heard about all us nuts! Anyway, nice to meet you - you have a lovely blog and I hope you'll continue to blog! Great pictures!!! Come by and visit me sometime!

Hi Keli,
LOVE the pictures and look of your blog! Very creative! That's a very sexy picture of your mom! Wow!!! LOL Yes, love the pink around Lucy. I'm looking forward to seeing more of you and the fam. I had an Olympus 35mm camera back around 1980 that I wish I would have kept. Even though film cameras are antiquated, they produce very different pictures. I still have about 10 rolls of film to have developed. That reminds me to get that film to Wal-Mart! :) I'll be keeping up with ya!
